Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?

Say "bye-bye" to high hourly rates. As an entrepreneur myself, I understand that you want more certainty around your expenses - including legal costs. That's why most of the one-on-one services are priced on a flat-fee basis so you're never surprised with a big ol’ legal bill; instead you’ll know the cost before the project begins. Say "bye-bye" to high hourly rates.

If certain services need to be priced at an hourly rate, we’ll let you know ahead of time.

Are you going to just throw a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo my way?

I believe it’s important for every entrepreneur to have a basic understanding of the law. That’s why we do our best to translate all that legal nonsense into plain English.

Do I have to come meet you in your office?

Nope.  Your time is precious. So, don’t waste it stuck in traffic.  Just sit back (in yoga pants and a top-knot) at home (or wherever your heart desires)  and we’ll meet over the phone or video to discuss your needs. We’re especially good at getting things done even with your kids (either the human or furry kind) running in the background.

My brother in law’s third cousin’s wife is an attorney. Can’t I just have her help me?

Perhaps.  Although all lawyers have an understanding of the law,  much like doctors, they specialize in different things. For example, if you break your toe, you’re not going to visit the cardiologist to help you, right?  It’s the same thing with lawyers. Whether you end up working with me or your brother-in-law’s third cousin’s wife, you want to work with a lawyer who (a) understands your business and (b) has experience with the area of law you need assistance with. Although I hope we’ll be the best fit for you, here’s some more information about how to find the best lawyer for you.

Can you help me with ____________?

Depends. Just contact us and let us know your needs. If it’s not our area of expertise, we’ll let you know.

I’m more of a do-it-yourself entrepreneur. Do you have any resources to help me?

Though we don’t always recommend taking legal matters into your own hands without legal counsel, our sister company offers some DIY resources including contract templates and trainings.  Have a visit at www.yourlegalbff.com.
